Refractive, LASIK Laser Eye Surgeon
- Richard Curtis Mauer, M.D., A.B.E.S., F.A.C.S.
An Iowa native, Dr. Mauer has
been head of the Mauer Eye Center for 14 years.
He and his wife, Carol, have four children and his family
focus has helped to shape the philosophy of the Mauer Eye
Center. Dr. Mauer has been voted the best eye doctor in
Waterloo and Cedar Falls by the Waterloo Courier Readers
Poll, Best of the Best. He lectures widely on glaucoma and
macular degeneration and has helped develop new techniques
for treating glaucoma and train doctors around the country
in their use.
